Experience
In my role as Head of Learning and Capability, I drive the Academy’s learning strategy, supporting the transformation and growth of our portfolio of learning products, programmes and services to meet the changing demands and needs of individuals, organisations and the humanitarian sector.
Prior to joining the team in 2018, my varied career in the international development and humanitarian sector saw me manage refugee camp hospitals and respond to refugee influxes and other emergencies on the Thai-Myanmar border, build a global Advocacy team for an animal welfare organisation, and advocate to governments and UN agencies across diverse issues from protection of former child soldiers, to changes in livestock and agricultural policy.
I’ve held three roles specifically dedicated to organisational development and capacity strengthening, and believe that accessible, contextually-relevant, locally-driven learning opportunities, across the career spectrum, are key to effective humanitarian response and sustainable development.
One thing to know
In my spare time, I enjoy bouncing on mini trampolines at my fitness class and keeping all the plants in my garden alive and blooming!
