Experience
I am responsible for ensuring that the HLA’s strategy is supported by a business model that will sustain our impact. A core part of this to ensure that we have strong external relationships with our learners, partners, clients and donors because these partnerships are critical to multiplying our impact and achieving our mission.
Before joining the HLA, I worked with Save the Children leading humanitarian technical teams and deploying to emergencies around the world. This initially covered the Shelter and Construction before starting up the Cash and Economic Programming Unit. I also played key roles in the formation of the Global Humanitarian Surge Platform which deploys humanitarian staff at short notice around the world and One Humanitarian Team which has pooled all humanitarian response operations into a single global unit. Prior to this I worked with the engineering consultancy Arup as a Civil Engineer and Project Manager.
One thing to know
I’m a keen cyclist and have toured in five continents covering over 15,000km (once with a baby on the back!)
