Experience
I have a career in both the development and humanitarian sectors spanning over 19 years. I’ve worked in various capacities in programme management and I am seasoned in capacity strengthening, financial management, facilitation, social and organisational development. Notably I have managed a programme on Organisational Strengthening and Behaviour change that was implemented with key East African bodies of the East Africa Commission; Lake Victoria Basin; the International Universities of East Africa and Lake Victoria Fisheries Organisation. I have also been the HLA lead for the East and Southern Africa Region setting the capacity strengthening agenda with a needs-based lens.
In my role as the Head of Regional Centres I am passionate about embedding the HLA strategic vision in partnership with other key stakeholders within the Regions ensuring that a network of skilled, local humanitarians are available to drive quality responses and save lives.
With a background in Psychology and Leadership, I am keen on the welfare and wellbeing of staff members, teammates, partners and among those within my different spheres of influence.
