About the speakers
Angelina Ndung’u, independent contractor

Angelina Ndung’u is an experienced project management, technology and UX research professional with over 11 years experience in the social and corporate sectors. She holds a BSc degree in Engineering and an MBA (Global Social Sustainable Enterprises). She is also certified in Project Management by PMI Global and behavioural design by Irrational labs. Some of the projects and organisations that Angelina has worked with include ADESO (Kujalink), Wasoko, Refugees United and Worldreader.
Karin Maasel, CEO, Data Friendly Space

Karin Maasel is CEO of Data Friendly Space, a global data and technology NGO that equips social impact organizations with trusted digital tools and actionable data. For nearly a decade, DFS has pioneered AI powered solutions within the humanitarian data ecosystem, developing digital public goods like DEEP and GANNET. With 15 years of humanitarian and development sector experience, she has held key positions at Save the Children and Finn Church Aid, and served as Head of the Africa Department at the Estonian Centre for International Development. She is the Board Chair of the H2H Network board, an alliance of humanitarian technical service providers.
Kat Dixon, Impact and Advocacy Lead, Jangala

Kat Dixon is Impact and Advocacy Lead at Jangala, a humanitarian technology charity which connects underserved communities across the world to the internet. She is author of The Periodic Table of Internet Elements, from her work as a research fellow with the Data Poverty Lab (The Good Things Foundation, 2022). She was shortlisted for UK Digital Leader of the Year 2023 with Digileaders100.
Lucy Hall, Data and Evidence Specialist, Humanitarian Leadership Academy [Host]

Lucy Hall is a Data and Evidence Specialist at the HLA with over 8 years of experience in the humanitarian sector. Her focus is on making data and evidence more accessible, easier to understand and on encouraging the use of diverse analyses for decision making and innovation.
Lucy is passionate about inclusive practices in humanitarian programming and in the workforce, enabling true locally led action, and how data and technology can be an enabler in reducing the power inequities that exist in the humanitarian sphere.
